For outdoor planting, when ground is frost free, choose a partially sunny spot, dig hole and place top of the roots even with soil surface. Pack topsoil around roots and water thoroughly. Keep watered and treat as any yard plant. For indoor growing in hotter climates: Plant tree seedling in a larger 3 to 4 inch pot with a drainage hole and place in a sunny location. Keep soil moist and mist the needles twice a week.
